How do I apply for a job at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center?

All prospective applicants are required to submit their applications online. Online applications are kept in a database that allows us to track and transfer information electronically to hiring managers at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Every employment application is linked to a specific job opening, so apply for each position posted for which you are qualified and interested. We accept applications for open positions only.

How will I know that my application has been received and has been considered?

Minutes after you submit your online application for a particular job, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your online application has been received by SAMC. OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center receives thousands of applications each year. Regrettably, our applicant volume makes it impractical to send a personal letter to each applicant advising him or her that a position has been filled.

What job would you recommend that I apply for?

Candidates are selected for an interview, based on recent related experience, including consistent work history, skills, education and professionalism. We recommend that you review job details online. To be considered for employment, you must complete all application sections thoroughly (including ALL education and employment history).

How do I know if a job is still open?  

When a job is removed from the website, we have stopped accepting applications for that position.

When will I be contacted regarding an interview? 

If you are selected for an interview, a SAMC Manager will contact you for a telephone interview. The length of time varies between submission of an application and contact with the applicant. Those who are not selected for an interview will receive an update in their Job Status tab as they log back in to the application tracking system. 

I am visiting from out of town. Can I see a recruiter today? 

Same day appointments can be made based on availability of the recruiter and department management. Please call Human Resources at 815-395-5306 to make arrangements.

Can I check the status of my application? 

By logging in to the application system using your user name and password, you would be able to check the status of your application (Job Status tab). Due to the large volume of applications that are received, we are unable to process phone requests.

How long is my application active and how do I make changes? 

Your application becomes inactive as soon as the job is filled. Each time you apply for a job, you will have an opportunity to revise your online document or resubmit it as is, with just a quick click.
