PromptCare for life's little emergencies

While not life-threatening, some situations need immediate medical attention; uncontrollable coughing, a profusely bleeding wound or an injury that might have caused a fracture.

If your primary care physician is unable to see you quickly, or if the office is closed, you can go to the Emergency Department. However, you'll probably face along wait while patients with more acute injuries are examined. You do have another option.

PromptCare services are available at two OSF locations. OSF Center for Health – Rock Cut is located on Route 173 at Forest Hills Road in Loves Park and OSF Southridge is located at 4423 Manchester Dr. in Rockford. Both locations are staffed by board-certified physicians who have the expertise to handle your urgent needs. X-rays or lab work can be performed right there too.

Another benefit of PromptCare is that most insurance carriers have lower co-payments set for PromptCare services than for emergency room visits.
